Confirming yesterday’s Gamespy rumor, Microsoft has released a statement on the end of AC’s volunteer program and the rise of its professional substitute. While the AC community was reading the event as something specific to Microsoft’s supposed evil will towards AC, Ken Karl puts it rather as an action on an industry-wide scale, calling “the new CSS model … an important part of Asheron\’e2\’80\’99s Call and the MMPOG genre\’e2\’80\’99s future.”
