RELEASING A GAME WITHOUT PROPER QA TESTING? THOU HAST LOST AN EIGHTH! [Author: wirehead]
More news on Origin’s new game, “Ultima 9: You Mean NVidia Makes 3D Cards?”. People are reporting on Usenet that EB and other major retailers are pulling Ultima 9 from store shelves. Reason: too many returns. You could post complaints on U9’s official support board, but last time I checked, that was kind of flaking out too from the hundreds of messages saying “It won’t run on my system, what’s wrooong?”.
Others are repeating the rumor that Origin’s QA team never approved U9 for release. This would be the same QA team now being outsourced/moved to other teams/made to wave their hands in the air like they just don’t care once U9 was released.
So, I realize this probably goes without saying, but don’t let your house co-owner place a locked-down vendor in Ultima 9. Thank you.
