The page I linked to in the last update also said a couple of things about Tifric of Atlantic Mage Tower, namely that his tower was blessed because he was dating someone at OSI and that he was going to sell his blessed house(s). Tifric sent me a brief note that he was in fact 56 years old (which I can verify, having met him; he’s a dead ringer for Burl Ives) and not dating any GMs (all of whom are somewhat under 56) nor anyone else at OSI, and that if something blessed was sold, OSI would immediately debless it.
Not a whole lot going on. I’m pretty busy in UO since our guild is now pretty much “clompn” the Shadowclan Orcs full time. Hoowah!
As you may remember, the Companion program was introduced by Origin as (a) a way for new players to be automatically assigned guides for their wonderful new experiences in Britannia and (b) something people under the age of 25 could do. What you may not be aware of is that not only do we now have Companions, we also have Senior Companions and ARCH-Companions. Those SRComps have the same powers as SRCouns (I’m sorry, I am running out of acronyms here), namely telestorming and jail of “problem players”.
Want to know more? Here’s one SRComp’s (somewhat brief) adventure, replete with screen shots. Note – the pet of a GM was apparently harmed during the making of this web page.
Banstyle sends words and pictures (mmmmmm, preeeeety pickchurs) of Metrofest 99, subtitled “OSI flies out to the Big Apple to give the usual answers about necromancy!” But, of course, there’s a new LadyMOI picture, so all you cultists can go here. (Oh, and there’s like information from the developers and stuff, too, but judging from my email on the last lunch you guys pretty much are just looking for new MOI pics to print and paste up on your shrine in the basement.)
