I am wondering if anyone could answer this question: In order to get the elite influence in the event to play the class a week early, do you need to be of a certain level requirement to even complete the dq's for obtaining elite influence?

That's ok 22/23 -- I thought of the expansion for EQ2 (Nov 18th) first, then LotRO. But then, I've gotten bored to tears with WoW twice now, and can't bring myself to give them a third try even to play with friends.

"As for the “other” things going in November..."

You *must* mean the release of Mines of Moria for LOTRO and the new legendary weapon system where your weapon has levels and gains exp and eventually gives you quests. HAHAHAHA! Of course you don't mean that and are instead referring to that upcoming WoW thing. Is it just me or is LOTRO the red-headed step child of MMOs that everyone always forgets?

Well I missed the first one yesterday thanks to one of the parts in my new system being DOA. I'm just wondering if you have to do every single one to get enough influence for the elite items. Hopefully I can net enough influence still.

So wait, now we are pissed because in addition to adding in two classes shortly after release (how's that Hero class thing working out for WoW, you know, the 'promised' hero class system that would allow you to progress your character beyond 60? Oh right, 4 years and $40 late we get one 'hero' class) Mythic has also added a little side event for the release, and now we are pissed because we get a side event? MMO fans are unreal at times. If a company handed you $100, people would bitch that they got it this week, and not the week before.

The original announcement said the classes would be added in December, now they have come out and said you can get access a bit early if you complete some daily tasks. Can't get the tasks done? Fine, you still get the new stuff 'on time', no worries.

regardless, its still a good game, and as Glasseye said, its the best pvp in the market imo. Unless all you do is scenarios, there still seems to be stuff to do so far in T3.

*shrug* re-upped and having fun.

As for the "other" things going in November, sure its going to continue to suck a certain demographic out of WAR, but this is a great game that is tons of fun. People can continue to take swipes at it all they want, and the reality is its probably never going to even surpass the 500k sub threshold. My only complaint is they added another fluffy class to Order, and another badass to destruction.

I have to chime in with 8. The KotBS was not even part in Beta3, which was the first realy beta phase were more than just a few thousand were able to test the game. So the majority of the beta testers probably never even saw the KotBS, aside from a few NPCs back then.

And about the event I just have to say that at least Mythics makes an effort to put a nice package around the release of those two classes. Other MMOs would just give you the new classes as an option right after the patch. So I think it is quite nice that Mythic is trying to put a bit more behind the release of those classes. I am all for timed events in MMOs and if in the end you even get added value in the form of content, all the better. Methinks people should just stop to see evil machinations behind such things and go out and enjoy the game. Because, after all, it is still just a game, i.e. something to have fun with.
