This Just In: Mr. T Is, Actually, Pretty Handy With Computers
One of the most anticipated features of Wrath of the Lich King: the Night Elf Mohawk. REALLY.
This actually is why World of Warcraft has 11 quadrillion subscribers.
(Edit: Just to make it obvious: I’m not pointing out the Mr. T ad, which is cool in its own right, but that you yourself can have your own Night Elf Mohawk when the expansion ships.)

As they say on the messageboards: OLD!
I’m so terribly disappointed though that noone’s made a good spoof of this ad campaign – come on, you must be able to get someone who’s not exactly modelling material involved in a “Hi, my name’s Dave and I’m a Blood Elf.” spoof

Hmm, observation fail for me for not noticing the first link
Please disregard my “OLD!” though the lack of spoof comment still stands.

I like Mr. T. First time I saw him was years ago, on some magazine. A black guy with shaped hair on his head. I just keep stare at the photo, all I could think of is, he is definitely not just some punk, but who?. The impression felt like the smile of Mona Lisa.
And my friend come over told me that is Mr. T.

Wow this is old just like Lum. Ah c’mon. Night elf mohawks are effin’ sweet and still in style.

I don’t quite understand this post. WoW’s so successful because of the silly geeky ads or because their idea of new hairstyle options (with almost a 3 year delay) is to add hairstyles from other races -which is appallingly original-?
In any case, what you’re trying to say is WoW’s success resides in their ability to fool everyone?

I think what was forgetten to be mentioned was the fact that in the next expansion, you can actually have a Night Elf mohawk:

Yeah, the ad isn’t the point.. it’s that there’s actually Mohawks as a hairstyle in game now. Heh.

Originality can rot in an unmarked grave right next to all the people who came up the plot for Hamlet.
And it’s worth noting that a whole bunch of theater people from his time, none of whom you have ever heard of, were pretty damn convinced that Shakespeare’s success resided in his ability to fool everyone, too.
