Blizzard Downs Uwe Boll, No Loot But Gains Both Gamer And Moviegoer Rep
Sometimes you can’t make up stuff this good.
“I got in contact with Paul Sams of Blizzard, and he said, ‘We will not sell the movie rights, not to you…especially not to you,’” Boll revealed.
I dunno, I almost can see what he’d come up with, you know.
Could happen. (Via RPS)

If you’re putting Paris Hilton in the movie poster then I belive the title is spelled: “For the Whored”

I’ve met the man. He honestly does believe, or acts like he fervently believes, that he is making good movies. He’s surrounded by people who are riding him as long as he keeps getting publishing deals who are *telling him* he is making good movies. His whole operation stinks.

“I need the normal audience.”
I’m pretty sure the normal audience isn’t going to pay to see BloodRayne III: The Sucking.

I like the poster – I’d pay a lot to see Harlan Ellison’s response to Uwe Boll asking about a script.

No, but I’ll take five minutes out of my life to search google for a couple pics.

Sounds like Uwe just wanted to keep visible between rounds of funding and 50 % tax writeoffs the German government. I’ve read that his next shelter, er, movie will be based on Postal.

You’d think Germany would be broke by now with all the money they waste on him.

As I understand it the tax loophole has been closed. This is why his most recent offering, Far Cry, is not getting a wide release to my knowledge. His movie before this, In the Name of the King (the Dungeon Siege movie), somehow managed to procure a $60 million dollar budget and still look like something the Sci Fi channel would scoff at. His film before that, Postal, I do not believe got, nor will receive, a wide release. However I have heard people say, quite seriously, that they enjoyed Postal on a level beyond howling with laughter about how horrible it was so it may be his most successful movie in that regard. Of course since he followed it up with ItNotK, and now Far Cry, he has proven that that was really just a blip and not a change of pace.

I tried to watch Alone in the Dark, but at one point my eyes sucked themselves back into my head in a feeble attempt to protect my delicate brain meats from further harm.
Ewe Boll is the worst filmmaker to grace the playing field — and he’s not even eccentric-fun bad like Ed Woods. He’s just bad bad. Which of course means in 10 years he’ll have a cult following.
