Whoops, apparently Funcom had a wardrobe malfunction when they shipped the game off to be certified: it turns out that the US will be getting the EU Socialist Paradise uncensored version (rated M for lots of immaturity). The Age of Conan forums exploded with joy (we hope it was joy, anyway) at the thought of censorship being defeated and totalitarianism being driven back.
Funcom apologizes for this small error (or maybe two small errors.)
Good to know the CM is taking this precisely as seriously as such a grave matter deserves!
So we get boobs even though the rating says no boobs?
… Nevermind.
This whole issue is making me giggle oh so much!

America is so dumb. We watch murder, shootings, stabbings, beheadings, etc on TV every single night on prime time networks. But a .000000000000001 second showing of a nipple makes the bible beaters go apeshit, and then there’s this mass crackdown on sexual content. This year’s superbowl halftime show was so boring, I watched something else while it was playing.
Don’t let little Bobby see a breast, but its ok for him to watch some dude get shot in the head on CSI each week.
Whew! Good thing this was a mistake cause I was fully prepared to protest this in game by painting little dots on my screen on every character I came across that should have nipples! Yeah, I know kinda hardcore, but that’s just how I roll… yo.
I feel better now.
It’s not even really boobs is it… just a bit of nipple!

America is so dumb. We watch softcore, hardcore, straight, gay, and furry porn online every single night on the computer. But the second they are denied the ability to see a woman’s breasts the goons go apeshit, and then there’s screaming and posting with pure unbridled internet rage about how prudish everyone else is and how European women would show them their titties the instant they asked. This year’s top games were so boring, I watched porn online while my friends were playing.
Don’t deny little Bobby the ability to see some nipple, because games can’t be fun unless we can see women naked.
My care for wanting to see bare boobs in regulated media is quite low. Maybe if I were 15 years old and didn’t have the internet, yeah I’d argue I want to see more naked boobs, because I would be understandably very, very horny and lacking in such material.
You know, it’s just not that important to me. Sure, I celebrate the small victory for freedom of expression, but if the game sucks, boobies are not going to make me stick around. By the same coin, if I think the game’s great, the lack of boobies won’t make me stop playing it.
Wait until Fox News hears about this one…
