As Jeff Freeman can attest, I take a pretty strong stance on this stuff, and our debate on a related subject as a hole was linked as a very interesting debate by several blogs. But here, even though seeing the entire scene made me a bit uncomfortable, it was tastefully done and had the kind of meaning that isn't so harmful to young minds. It wasn't a slam bam kind of thing. My kids see far worse on TV every night, and with parenting and all, I sure hope by now they recognize the difference between tasteful and meaningful compared to raw, meaningless, and emotionally empty stuff. Hell, I'm more concerned with some of the things said on TV at prime time in shows made for young adults and teens. As far as FOX news, I watch it allot. I like it. I'm conservative. I agree with most of the view points expressed there. This is one of the times that I think they bungled it. I sincerely hope they revisit this with more accurate statements. If there's one problem with ALMOST ALL of the primary TV news, it's that they spend so little time on a subject as well as not sufficiently exploring it.
