The beauty of the situation is some r33t haxx0r is going to have the song ripped to MP3 they day it’s shipped to stores. Can’t be limewire for zero day warez.
Will I have to charge my friends to watch me play the game or share playing time? Will they forward me some self addressed envelopes to make payments to Metalica easier? Maybe I can get an online account that deducts directly from my bank account.
I sure hope it sucks as bad as their last release. That would be the icing on the cake. By icing I mean mold and by cake I mean urinal.
I realize it’s easy to hate them for their last album(I liked the direction they were going with LOAD), but Rick Rubin is the producer on their latest and that man has done some amazing things to waning acts, so while not entirely hopeful I’m not going to outright dismiss them. Since I don’t have rockband, I do look forward to enjoying the song through other means.
Staryx: You can download a Metallica three-pack that contains Blackened, …And Justice for All, and Ride the Lightning for RB. Still waiting for Four Horsemen, Master of Puppets, For Whom The Bell Tolls, etc.

It has been interesting, over the years, to watch the definition of “crappy new stuff” and “good old stuff” change with regard to Metallica. There was a time when you could find tons of people crying about how awful …And Justice For All was and how the new sound sucked compared to the old one, for example.
I remember seeing Metallica live about a million years ago. They played a couple of songs then said ‘Here’s one off our next album’ and launched into Enter Sandman. Half the crowd started to boo and chanted ‘We want Master of Puppets!’
What J posted is the best, if it’s what I think it is, quicktime is the devil. But if it’s the NAAPSTER BAAD, FIIIRE BAAAD thing, then yay. I thought I was the only one who remembered that. I’ll never want to like Metallica since they were huge pricks, but I do like the songs that I already liked before they were huge pricks.
Matt: Heh, I actually downloaded that pack (and Fortunate Son) before I actually picked up my RB bundle. Damn are those Metallica songs tough on drums.

Yeah, screw their new crap, gimme good, old Metallica. And I know GH3 has “One”, but RB needs it too.
