Bill O’Reilly Hates Everything You Like
As seen in this podcast description of his frothy/ing radio show, Bill O’Reilly just plain doesn’t like you.
Did you ever talk to these computer geeks? I mean, can you carry on a conversation with them? \’e2\’80\’a6I really fear for the United States because, believe me, the jihadists? They\’e2\’80\’99re not playing the video games. They\’e2\’80\’99re killing real people over there.
Damn it, WE ARE NOT KILLING ENOUGH REAL PEOPLE. We’re falling behind in the killin’ front. Get to it, Christian soldiers.
Seriously, O’Reilly’s actions clearly can have only one justification.
He’s declared war on Christmas.

To be fair to Mr. O’Reilly, there were a bunch of kids on his lawn with their horsless tell-o-phones and devil musak boxes. Really put him in a fist-shaking mood.

Where does one apply for a paying job as a curmudgeon/jackass, anyway? I’m missing out on my dream career.

He should be careful. Bloggers took down Dan Rather, and if MMORPG gamers arn’t the spitting image of the extreme blogger, I don’t know what is.
In all fairness, I think we all can agree (including Scott) that bloggers can be just as extreme, and sometimes even more extreme, then ol’ Bill.

Uhm… Dan Rather was an idiot who didn’t research any facts before running a highly political story about Bush which used, as its core, falsified documents. I mean Dan’s summation of the whole event was the story was “fake but accurate”. Dan did more harm to himself by refusing to even believe the story was fake until bloggers put forth so much evidence that CBS couldn’t ignore it anymore.
O’Reilly is paid to bloviate like this. And he waffles almost daily between rational thought and bizarre theories like this one. The man still seems to think politicians and oil companies can control the price of gasoline.

Heh. I seem to be in the minority here in that I’m not a Bill O’Reilly hater, such that it is. That being said, for every good point he has he does seem to have one that missed very VERY wide to the right. This one seems to be one of those points. First, I don’t really believe there is any concrete evidence to suggest that owning a gaming system = idiocy. Bill should probably put a little more energy into the absentee parents that allow little junior to do nothing but sit in front of the PC/Playstation/Gameboy/TV all day, and a little less into taking away the TV.
But that’s just my opinion… And Fox News (We Decide, You Listen) doesn’t pay me uberbuckage for it. Bummer. I look better then Bill.

Oh… And who DOES control the price of gasoline, if not the oil companies? I mean, it’s not like they’re the ones refining the stuff or anything. And I seriously doubt that oil companies would back any politicians. Besides, oil and oil based products aren’t the hingepin of the American economy, It’s… ummm… oh, wait. Nevermind.

“And who DOES control the price of gasoline, if not the oil companies?”
The consumer. If people refuse to buy fuel at current prices those prices HAVE to drop.
Luckily for the oil companies, people are weak, and will never boycot fuel for more than a few days.

“The consumer. If people refuse to buy fuel at current prices those prices HAVE to drop.”
Technically impossible at this point to accomplish. Gasoline sales to private citizens like you and I account for a very small percentage of oil sales, not that rallying a significant amount of citizens to rage against the machine would be even remotely possible given the mentality of the average American.
The biggest consumers of oil; mass transit like airlines, rail lines, trucking and shipping, manufacturing and energy producers, cannot afford to stop buying oil any more then you can afford that infrastructure to shut down!
I mean, seriously, take a look around you and point out ONE THING that hasn’t taken a ride on a truck at some point in its journey to you?

Dang, these soldiers must not be real then?
